I was looking for a good bar or speakeasy for a Friday night out, somewhere different from my usual spots, and that’s how I came across 9 Feet Under. The concept looked promising, so I made a reservation and headed over. The location is convenient, near Okeechobee Rd and SR-112, with security at the entrance and ample parking when I arrived around 10 PM. The ambiance is the highlight here. The space feels intimate and cozy, and the live jazz band created a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the cocktails didn’t live up to expectations. I passed on the Aguanile after being told it was somewhat sweet and ordered their signature Call of the East Margarita instead. It was extremely sweet, almost syrupy, despite the $25 price tag. For my second drink, I asked for something mezcal-based and low in sugar and was recommended a skinny mezcalita. It swung too far in the opposite direction, tasting mostly like lime juice with very little balance. For a cocktail bar charging mid-$20s per drink, I expected much better execution. Came to Miami for a night early for a cruise and this spot wasn’t far from my hotel!! I just have to say the service, vibe, and drinks was top tier from the start! First I would say they have a dress code no athletic wear, we was semi out of dress code but they let us in and I was appreciative, because I didn’t realize it was a speakeasy when I saw it on Maps, however that was the first positive! (Don’t go out of dress code with high expectations, because we got lucky).. The service!!! The service and the vibe went hand in hand, A Vibe!!! We sat at the bar and Luisa and Alejo was so dope and energetic! Now the drinks! OMG!! I love trying new bars and their drinks.. I tried several different drinks! The Old Fashion was literally better than a bar that I won’t name that I previously thought was the best Old Fashion! I tried the espresso martini which was Michelin quality, HOWEVER they have a Margarita called “Call of the East” when I tell you this was the best Margarita I’ve ever had! That shit was so good I kid you not, absolutely the best! I will never visit Miami again and not stop in! Check this place out! Thank me later! And ChatGPT had nothing to do with this review!!!

We had an amazing experience, and a big part of that was thanks to Luisa. She was attentive without being overbearing, always made sure we were taken care of, and brought such a great energy that elevated the whole night. What stood out most was how she genuinely connected with us—it didn’t feel transactional at all. Luisa made the experience feel personal and fun. Definitely one of the best service experiences I’ve had at a club.

Been wanting to come here for a while and it did not disappoint! Came as a pregame outing and honestly wanted to stay. We shared a Latin platter with fired, chicken wings, croquettas, and mini empanadas (plus I added tequeñios) and it was way too much food for us two! But delicious! Our bar tender Francesco was awesome!!!! He made great drinks and told us stories about his travels. I felt like I was hanging out in an underground bar somewhere in Europe with my primo. It was the perfect start to my birthday weekend. I will be back!!

This speakeasy transports you to a different era as it is decorated amazingly in a vintage style. The service Luisa provided was just incredible and Alexis made the most amazing drinks tailored to your personal taste profile. A true mixology artist! A must to visit!
